Virtual Consulting
Synapse Canine offers virtual consulting sessions to help provide guidance and advice on a broad range of topics related to canine behavior.
These individual, one-off sessions are designed to address specific concerns you may be having with your dog, provide different perspectives on canine behavior, cover gaps in your dog training knowledge, or help you come up with an action plan if your training efforts have plateaued.
Here are some example scenarios where virtual consulting may be a good option:
- Animal shelter owners or managers attempting to develop protocols or improve adoption rates among dogs with behavioral concerns
- Dog sport handlers who have hit a training plateau or are concerned by a sudden change in their dog’s behavior during training or events
- New parents who want guidance on how to integrate their existing dog with their baby
- Prospective dog owners who need help with choosing the right dog
- Dog owners who have a trained dog but need a refresher on how to maintain previously taught behaviors, or guidance on how to teach new ones
- Search and Rescue or working dog handlers who need help troubleshooting issues with their dog’s operational performance
- Dog breeders who are striving to make the most of the crucial 8-week period after a puppy is born

Our 50-minute sessions are priced at $99.
How does virtual consulting work?
Our virtual consulting services are very straightforward. You will book a 50-minute slot with our Lead Trainer, Stasia Dempster, during which she will answer any questions you have about dog behavior. These sessions are essentially a freeflowing discussion, so we recommend having a list of questions or discussion points ready in advance.
Step 1: Reach out to us to schedule your timeslot for your consulting session, and pay the fee for your session.
Step 2: In advance of the session, we recommend sending as much material as possible to help familiarize us with your situation. The material can include a written email, photos, videos, voice notes, or anything that will help provide context on the reason for the consulting session. Note: This is not a prerequisite, but is designed to ensure you get the most out of your session.
Step 3: Your consulting session will last 50 minutes and will take place on Google Meet. Sessions are saved in your online client folder so that they can be referred back to afterwards.

Our virtual consulting is available to anyone who has a dog training question or canine behavior concern, and needs the help of a professional dog trainer. As these are one-off sessions, they provide an affordable way to receive guidance and instruction on a wide range of dog training topics.
